is getting the environment set up within the VM. getting Object to be the root, and being initialised with it's useful functions (like parent: and addSlot:)
Then creating the Number functionality as a prototype. Because all the native stuff has moved into the VMObject, this can now be solely opcodes!
And all this will quickly require the ability to create functions. But not immediately.
